ADSL Username And Password Problems

BEFORE TROUBLESHOOTING AN ADSL AUTHENTICATION QUERY ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO CHECK IF THE CLIENTS ACCOUNT IS
SUSPENDED OR NOT.

1. ADSL username and passwords are very critical information, and should not be handed over to a client
telephonically.
2. Always ensure to ask the client/account holder a few security questions before you send out ADSL information.
3. Once you are sure about the above criteria, you can then e-mail or sms the client their username and password.
4. If a client requests Gamco to change thei dialup/adsl password, alway request them tosend a mail to
support@gam.co.za, and they should provide us withthe current password, and then thennotify us as to what the
new password should be reset to. Make sure that a Gamco admin staff member attend to the password resetting.
Once the password has been reset, you can then reply on the ticket notifying the client that the password has
been reset.

6. Should the client call in and complain about connectivity/authentication issues, check the status of th PPP led
on the router, test the clients ADSL account on a Gamco/IS router to make sure the account is working 100%
